Description
Mod ID: 2879367569

Use this mod to edit the appearance of your in-game player character, thralls, and workstation thralls. You can also pose your thralls, add distance triggers to activate emotes. Make thrall emotes differently to you, your clanmates, and other players. Turn your thrall into props. (Takes no damage, cannot attack, and cannot be attacked.) See details below.

Choose facial features, body features, armors, dyes, gender, voice to whatever you want your thralls to appear in game. Set which armor parts to show, lock them without affecting actual armor being worn. Save your fine tunings to profiles and re-apply them to other thralls.

Pose your thrall on a bed, select 4 different type of sleep emotes and randomly timed them to look like he/she is tossing and turning when sleeping.

Admins can edit all human characters in game, including other players and their thralls. They can also pose other players' thralls.

This mod makes no changes to OG files and should be compatible any other mods and future game updates (fingers-crossed).

Pose Thralls.
Set a list of emotes to play randomly. Select different ways to repeat emotes.

Sit Thralls.
Make use of chair/thrones/stools! Let your thralls sit on them.

Add Emote Triggers.
Triggers let your thralls emote when players get within certain distances.

Save your Emote Settings to Profiles.
-
Turn Thralls into Props.
Prop thralls takes no damage, cannot attack and will not be attacked.

All changes made are applied to server and replicated in a multi-player game. All profiles are saved locally on player's machine and they are not shared.


To Use:

Edit Thralls: Select the Appearance button when you activate the radial menu.
(Default: Target Thrall, Hold 'E', Select Appearance Button.)

Edit Artisan Thralls: Target the workstation and activate the radial menu.
(Default: Target Workstation, Hold 'E', Select Appearance Button.)

Edit Player Character: Go to vanity mode, press activate.
(Default: Press 'V', Hold 'E'.)

Edit ANY Other Humanoid Character/Object: Target, press activate.
(Default: Target, Hold 'E'.)


Technical Details:

Users with admin rights can edit characters they do not own. This includes other players, their thralls, character-like objects, NPCs, and workstations containing thralls.

To edit humanoid objects from another mod, 'HasCharacterLayout Interface' should be implemented by the mod maker. Interfaces in Unreal Engine allow mods to communicate with each other in game. (Modder's Note: Size3D and VoiceType need to be set as well.)

Without interface implementation, this mod works on a lesser degree. It will 'wrap' the edited visual on to the object, but without access to internal data, actual layout details are untouched. A Remove button is added to remove this 'wrapping'.

Note on NPC editing: Most NPCs in the game are 'non-persistent'. Their appearance will reset every time the game restarts or when they re-spawn. Any changes you made will not be retained. While it is possible to edit the re-spawn table, it would be out of the boundaries and function this mod. After all, it is Edit Appearance, not Edit Spawns.

This was by far the best mod to edit appearance! Hopefully the author comes back to update it for Enhanced UE5 version!

Game Crashed when I used this with a Thrawl, though she was "working" at the time, was that the issue? or is somthing up with the Mod?

Changing the appearance and all works great, sadly the emotes do not work.
It would be amazing if this were to be fixed. It adds incredible RP to the game if you can make your thralls react to you like it should in this mod.

Mod still works GREAT and it puts to shame any mod on any other game where you want to edit NPC appearance. No lag, plenty of customization options including warpaint for face, body, and hands with a ton of color choices, etc. My only gripe is that I have 2 big hair mods installed (Akuba's Salon and Barbarian Barber) but these options don't appear to be compatible with this mod because though it appears to list 150 or so hairdo options, the vast majority just present as a bald head. But this works great on its own to give my thralls/followers a bit more personality for roleplay. :)

Any work arounds for this, different mods, or is it just time to abandon Conan Exiles like all mod creators have done. I think I might as well just go back to modded skyrim I hear they're still active.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work as intended. Furthermore, when you move the Thralls, you get a message that the actions are deleted. The same happens if you take them on a journey. But what if I send them home beforehand, and the Thrall just stands there doing nothing? Sorry for the brief experience, but no thanks. It's a nice idea, though. I think it would be great if, for example, I, as the Daimyo, ride into my village and the Thralls walking and working within a certain radius bow when they see me. Once that happens, they continue with their daily tasks. Also, a menu with multiple languages ​​would be nice. But those are just my thoughts. *cheeky* Thanks for your effort, though.:steamthumbsup:

I have conan exiles before the 2025 update that removes Al-Merayah. So I also backedup all the mods since they auto-update and in no way you can return to the update unless modders are nice to leave the backup files for you on GDrive which most of them are not willing cause idk, aholes. So this edit appearance still work with women faces mods and hair mods.

ToT is so confusing.to use. I just want to play the game with custom character and custom thralls. I don't need any BS. I have the new Conan Exiles installed separately just to see the new update and if any mods are up to date. Until this edit appearance updated, I won't play much on new one. I still play on the old version pre-2025 update and I had blast playing Siptah, Save Wilds and Isle of Woman. Been trying other maps and I kinda wish I can downgrade all new map mods for the old version. Modders just don't want to give it away like come on, make a patreon and I'll pay.
