Kaa'Ataal, a once-mighty realm built by the Giant Kings, stood as a testament to the sheer power that could be harnessed by those who bent their will to the dark god Set. The grandeur of their empire was sustained by a vast human slave population and the divine blessing of their shadowy patron. Yet, as with all great empires, Kaa'Ataal's strength carried the seeds of its own undoing.

Through a tangled web of treachery and insurrection, corruption sank its fangs deep into the heart of the empire, eroding it from within. The once-glorious civilization crumbled, swept away by it's own hand. Now, all that is left of Kaa'Ataal are the ruins of an ancient empire, and the Ghosts of the Cataclysm.

Ghosts of the Cataclysm is a new map for Conan Exiles, focused on combat and PvE content.

Features of the Map:
- All new factions to slay and "befriend".
- Permanent Jhebbal Sag Hunt event and Sorcerer Skull event. New custom events are in the works!
- The map includes a new currency item, the Ancient Black Coin. These coins have a chance to drop from slain NPCs. The coins can be used to buy items from merchants on the map, and can also be used by server admins to base a Pippi economy around, being a currency that can't be crafted by players.
- There is a market area in Zekkhia City for admins to place Thespian merchants.
- There is an Acheronian platform area at the starting position / default death spawn area that is meant for Amunet Server transfer center.
- Admin stages for admins to build server dungeons or use for whatever RP stuff they want:

with the upcoming release of Conan Exiles Enhanced, i will be moving my modding energy to supporting the new UE5 version of the game. this map will most likely NOT be ported to UE5. the map is just too complex and large to be easily ported, and the time i would spend doing so will be better spent on making the sequel to Ghosts of the Cataclysm for CE:E.
i will continue maintenance support for all of my CE Legacy mods. Ghosts of the Cataclysm is a special case, since it is my baby. even though porting it to UE5 is not feasible, completing the main story dungeons is still on my agenda.

3 - crafter availability - i can increase the proportions for crafter thralls, but the biggest problem is that not all factions have crafters. since the map is entirely new factions, i have to make each npc. i can't just reference exiled lands crafters unless i want to break the whole new factions hook of the map. one thing i can easily do is drastically increase the proportion of crafters available to rescue from the Hyrkanian Slavebreakers. these use weighted entries from exiled lands. i will consider adding more randomized crafters to other faction spawns.

1. approximate level of completion - there are 3 more story dungeons to be completed, and then the main map features will be complete. more expansion zones may still happen in the future, but the finish line is to finish the story dungeons. everything after is bonus material.
2. iron - it has been requested alot. as of now, iron needs to be mined from piles of stones, which can be hard to find. next update i will go ahead and add more iron just laying around like it is on exiled lands. i have been resistant to this for years, but the overwhelming feedback is that i am the only one who likes the idea of iron not being free on GotC :(

is there any way to convince you to raise the density for Ironstone spawns? and change the thrall proportions to include more crafters?

yeah sorry you dont like the music. just use the music killer mod i linked to.
there are 20 different tracks that play randomly, so it sounds like you either somehow got a weird bug related to the sound stage cue, or you just dont like the music so it all sounds equally ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

@Ragnar Random the music itself is fine, i would listen to it separately, but this metal electronic music doesn't match the Conan setting and again, it never stops, it is always on loop

the music is so annoying, it never fcking stops. I had to turn it off

I started a couple of days ago, and I'm really enjoying exploring it! I have no idea where to find materials, but little by little, I've been opening new areas and getting some decent progress, hard enough to be a challenge without getting stuck in the process.

Strogly recommend this one!
